A plant-based food company is set to launch a plant-based burger following a £1.5m investment. MYCO’s plant-based protein, Hoaba, is produced from vertically grown oyster mushrooms grown at the company’s production facility in North Yorkshire.

The 20,000 sq ft complex is one of the few in the UK where both protein cultivation and production take place under the same roof. According to MYCO, meat-free products therefore generate very little food mileage.
