Vivid Seats is an online ticket marketplace that generated over $500 million in revenue in 2022. Stan shared some amazing insights into running a huge company with over 500 employees, and how his personal passion outside the boardroom keeps him motivated and engaged.

The best thing about being a CEO
“For me, the best part of being CEO is getting to work every day in an industry I love and with people I love. It’s an honor to set the direction and vision for the company.”

About his career path
“I grew up wanting to be an aerospace engineer. I loved the space shuttle and the concept of going to space. I was born in Singapore and grew up in New York. After high school, I wanted to go back and serve. “I was called upon” by the Singaporean military. I worked at that job for about three years. It was very scary, but it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in terms of shaping who I am. After that, I had the opportunity to study industrial engineering. at Georgia Tech. Part of this journey was realizing that I thought what I wanted to do wasn’t a specialty, so I started exploring more of the world, more of business, industry and I ended up I ended up here at his Vivid Seats. ”

About the power of diversity
“My skills as a leader come from my ability to learn, listen, understand and appreciate cultural diversity.Singapore is a wonderful multicultural society that many different people call home. I think the blend of cultures has helped define Singapore.” I’ve had the opportunity to build diverse teams in the places I’ve worked, but when I look at the leadership team at the C-suite level; “More than 50 percent of our leaders are women, and when you look at the board we assembled in Vivid Seat, we started out with a diverse board in the majority.”

about his personal motives
“The people I have the honor of leading motivate me. You know, that old military saying of going to battle with them every day. You gotta love the troops you’re with.” And I love the team we have.” Here, of course, is my family who supports me behind the scenes. My motivation is to do a good job for all of them. And ultimately, we truly believe in the mission of Vivid Seats. It allows everyone to experience and watch their favorite things live. ”
