Volt, the global real-time payments platform, today announced the appointment of Irina Tyuchkina as its first Chief Marketing Officer. Following a $60 million Series B funding round in June and the appointment of former Stripe European CEO Matt Henderson, Tyuchkina announced that Vol. took part in an important period of growth. As a special advisor, she was instrumental in Bolt’s global expansion into Australia.
Chuchkina has over 18 years of experience in the payments sector in Europe and Asia. She most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer at Thunes, a Singapore-based payment infrastructure platform where she led the global marketing strategy. Prior to joining Mr. Thunes, Ms. Chuchkina also held senior marketing positions at Series E payments scaleup company Rapyd, Southeast Asian super app Grab, and Visa. She also serves on the board of the Singapore FinTech Association and was named one of the top 25 female leaders in financial technology in Europe by The Financial Technology Report.
While at Rapyd, Chuchkina led go-to-market strategy and global brand and communications for the APAC region. At Grab, he helped launch the mobile wallet GrabPay and its loyalty platform GrabRewards. At Volt, she will be responsible for global marketing strategy and building Volt’s ambitious global expansion plans.
