Missouri ranks near the top in the nation for taxpayer return on investment.
WalletHub.com, a personal finance website, ranks Missouri fourth in the nation using 29 key metrics, including total taxes paid per person and overall level of government services received. Following South Dakota in third place, Florida took second place and New Hampshire took the top spot.
Ohio, Texas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Virginia and Nebraska are in the top 10, with New Mexico, Hawaii and California at the bottom of the rankings.
