MONTCLAIR, N.J. — A spate of burglaries of homes and businesses have been reported in Montclair in recent days, police said Tuesday.
The Montclair Police Department released the following details regarding four recent incidents in town.

January 11th (Norman Road) – “A resident of Norman Road reported a burglary at his home. Breaking in appeared to have been through the kitchen window. The three suspects inside had stolen the keys to the resident’s 2023 BMW X3 and 2024 BMW X5. The suspects fled the scene in both victims’ vehicles. Additionally, North Face jackets were stolen.
January 11th (Overlook Road) – “A resident of Overlook Road reported a burglary at his home during the night. Break-in appeared to have been through the kitchen window. The reported proceeds were a goose jacket and a wallet.”
January 14th (Bloomfield Avenue) – “At 3:55 a.m., officers were dispatched to a burglary alarm at Clothing Connect Store. Upon arrival, they found the front glass door shattered by three concrete blocks. Time of Report Now, it appears the suspects stole sneakers, a watch, and a cash register.
January 15th (Park Street) – “At approximately 4 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence on Park Street in response to a tripped burglar alarm. The home was determined to have been burglarized. Entry was through the front window on the first floor. The residence was unoccupied at the time. At this time, it is unknown what was stolen.”
