The Montgomery County Community Foundation’s Women’s Legacy Fund is accepting grants until noon on March 15 for local nonprofit organizations with a mission to support women and children.
The Women’s Legacy Fund is comprised of women who are committed to positively impacting the lives of women and children in Montgomery County. To achieve this goal, each member of the foundation makes a gift to the Community Foundation of Montgomery County, which pools these gifts to increase the effectiveness of our efforts. The donations will be distributed as an endowment fund where her one-third of each donation will forever benefit the women and children of Montgomery County.
The remaining two-thirds is pooled into a funding pool that enables annual grants to one or more Montgomery County nonprofit organizations that benefit women and girls. Eligible applicant organizations must have tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status. Since 2008, the Women’s Legacy Fund has awarded her 57 grants to 22 nonprofit organizations in Montgomery County, totaling more than $155,000.
Interested nonprofit organizations can submit grant applications for projects serving women and children in Montgomery County. Application instructions are available on the Montgomery County Community Foundation website at http://www.mccf-in.org under the Grants/How to Apply tab.
If you have questions about the application process, please email the Foundation’s Cheryl Keim at cheryl@mccf-in.org or call 362-1267.
Questions about the grant itself should be emailed to Cathy Caldwell at cathy.d.caldwell@gmail.com.
Recipient organizations plan to use their grants between June 2024 and May 2025.
