GLENS FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The World Awareness Children’s Museum (WACM) will host four on-site events throughout January to educate children through thousands of artifacts and works of art. On Sunday, January 14th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the museum is kicking off a free day where you can wander around the museum for free.
Donations from Stewart’s Holiday Match made this event possible. Generally, general admission tickets for all other events cost $7 for an adult and her child 1 year and older. Children under the age of 1 are admitted free of charge. If you are interested in this or future events, please register online.
The museum will also host an event celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Here you can learn about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and do activities about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Dreams. world.
Interested in Brazilian culture? Join the museum on January 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for a workshop to learn about Brazil. Admire children’s work, learn Portuguese phrases, and learn about the people who make up this country.
WACM’s last event of January is Igloo Paint and Ship on January 27th from 1pm to 2:30pm. You can paint your igloo on canvas for $12. Museum members receive a 10% discount. This event is limited to 9 people.
