Yankees manager Aaron Boone’s restructured coaching staff is complete.
Pat Rosler, who was involved in the Yankees’ player development from 2005 to 2014, will return to the organization as assistant hitting coach, team officials told New Jersey Advance Media on Friday night.
Rosler, 64, has a wealth of experience. He was the hitting coach for the Montreal Expos from 2000 to 2001 and the Mets from 2015 to 2018. He was the Nationals’ assistant hitting coach for the past three years.
The Phoenix native replaces Brad Wilkerson, who was fired after one season.

After Carlos Mendoza re-signed as the Mets’ manager earlier this offseason, Sean Casey was replaced by James Lawson as hitting coach and Brad Ausmus was named bench coach.
Rosler, 64, will be one of two assistant coaches, along with Casey Dykes, who will return for his third season in 2024.
During Rosler’s first stint with the Yankees, he served as director of player development, minor league manager, field coordinator and minor league hitting coach. He led Low-A Charleston to a 78-62 record in 2006.
