Three young friends got together to start a business and exhibit at the first annual Young Entrepreneurs Expo. Anna Grace Wallingsford, Vera Lewis, and Clay Sisco named their business ABC Bracelet.
They chose a business name that reflected their first initials. We sell colorful bracelets, necklaces, cell phone charms, and more.
Before the expo, the two girls had been making these items for about a year. Clay joined the business about four months before the Expo.
By exhibiting our products at the expo, we were able to acquire new customers. They were already selling products to family and friends. Anna, Bella and Clay all say they plan to stay in business.
These young entrepreneurs are in the 6th grade. They attend Collins Intermediate School.
Band is Anna’s favorite subject. “I love music,” she added.
Bella and Clay say math is their favorite subject. “I’m good at it,” Clay says. Bella added: “It’s awesome.”
Anna’s parents supported and encouraged her business. She plans to become a teacher, while Anna plans to continue her business. Anna enjoys shopping when she has free time and she loves church.
Anna, 12, is the daughter of Mike and Stacey Wallingsford and has three brothers, Zach, Andrew and Ben. Her grandparents are Sandra and Charles Wallingsford and Jean and Mary Webb.
Bella, 11, is in the Collins Band, takes dance lessons, and plays volleyball. She says her sister helped her with the business.
Bella is the daughter of Gary Lewis and Kenya Lewis and has a younger sister named Sierra Lewis Partridge. Her grandparents are Darrell Latham and Gail Latham.
“I love everything about life and everyone involved in it!” says Bella. She enjoys going to church and spending time with her family and friends.
Clay, 11, participates in Collins College’s band and gifted programs. He says his mother encouraged him and helped him with his business.
Clay is the son of Nat Sisko and Lindsey Sisko and has a twin brother, Cooper. His grandparents are Steve and Judy Wigley and Renee and Buford Cisco. Clay loves going on vacation, watching movies, and church.
