When contacted by Marketing Interactive, Rao said Nikhil Rao, vice president of marketing for Southeast Asia at Mondelēz, has resigned from his position and joined Mars Wrigley India as the new chief marketing officer.
In this role, Mr. Rao will steer the marketing vision, spearhead strategic initiatives and lead the end-to-end execution of Mars Wrigley’s portfolio strategy in India.
He will be based at the company’s headquarters in Gurgaon and will report to Tamer Kadri, country general manager of Mars Wrigley India, Mars Incorporated’s chocolate and confectionery division said.

Prior to his appointment at Mars Wrigley, Rao spent 10 years at Mondelez International. He joined the company as Cadbury’s global brand equity director in 2013, a role he held for just under four years. Rao then moved on to roles such as Regional Senior Marketing Director AMEA, Biscuits and Baked He Snacks SEA. He was appointed Vice President of Marketing for Southeast Asia in 2021.
Prior to working at Mondelez, Rao held marketing leadership roles at Kraft Foods and Cadbury.
